NEMO 55 Grain Full Metal Jacket Boat Tail (FMJ-BT) Ammo Details
This 5.56×45 ammo’s packaging says “NEMO,” which is the name of the American firearm manufacturer that imported it. When you order a case of these AR-15 treats, you’re really getting Prvi Partizan’s fine ammo!
Prvi Partizan is one of the world’s most respected ammo factories. They’re headquartered in Serbia, not Russia, and they exclusively load nonmagnetic bullets (with obvious exceptions, like 50 BMG and M855). Each steel-free full metal jacket projectile features a lead core, gilding metal jacket, carefully standardized 55 grain weight, and tapered base. The boat tail’s job is simply to give the bullet greater ballistic efficiency, thereby making its trajectory flatter and less susceptible to wind drift.
Prvi Partizan loads their rounds with new, strong and reloadable brass cases. They also load noncorrosive Boxer primers, which are protected against water infiltration by little rings of red sealant. You get 50 boxes when you welcome the 1,000-round case to your humble abode!
