50rds – 10mm Federal Train + Protect 180gr. JHP Ammo Details
Many self-defense experts recommend training with the same ammunition you would rely on for personal protection. It’s easy to understand why: you want to be completely familiar with the performance of the ammo you would stake your safety on.
Federal introduced their Train + Protect line of ammunition so anyone can train the same way they would fight. This 10mm cartridge features the 180 grain Versatile jacketed hollow point projectile. Its 1,175 fps muzzle velocity gives the bullet sufficient kinetic energy to quickly debilitate an attacker. Its notched copper jacket and supple lead core enable the JHP to undergo terminal expansion upon entering a soft medium. The Versatile JHP also lacks bonded jacket, thus making it more economical and practical for high-volume target practice.
This ammunition is made by one of America’s most respected ammo manufacturers. Its brass cases, primers and propellant are all heavily standardized, carefully inspected, and loaded in strict accordance with SAAMI specs. Federal brass always makes a great choice for handloading, so make sure to scoop up those cases!
