20rds – 380 ACP Remington Golden Saber 102gr. BJHP Ammo Details
There’s nothing stopping you from choosing an iffy cartridge for personal defense. But when your life is on the line – and your only ticket to safety is the admittedly small 380 Auto – you might just be glad you decided not to shortchange yourself.
Golden Saber. It’s one of the highest-quality lines of defensive handgun ammunition by one of America’s most revered ammo makers. It’s little wonder why Remington decided to load it with their brass jacketed hollow point, which is encased in tough cartridge brass so as to ensure its clean, unfragmented passage through barriers including thick clothing, and which has a diagonally serrated rim to accelerate and exacerbate (from the threat’s perspective) terminal expansion.
Great self-defense ammunition is reliable on all fronts. In addition to its smooth-feeding bullets, this ammo features nickel-plated brass cases, which create less of the friction that may cause a semi-auto to malfunction. Nickel also doubles as a moisture protectant, and even makes the round easier to see in the chamber where its dark.
Most civilian defensive shootings do take place in the dark. And therein lies the utility of this ammo’s propellant. It emits extremely little (if any) muzzle flash – even out of a shorter barrel – so you can fire your first shot in the dark and rest assured you won’t be temporarily blinded while you’re lining up your second.
